LMK’s Free Gift Exchange Tool Hides Secret Santa Draws From the Host

NEW YORK – 31 October, 2026 – LMK, a free universal wishlist and gift registry site that pulls items from hundreds of US retailers into one shareable list, today released its list of the top free Secret Santa generators for group gift exchanges in 2026, ranking its own web-based organizer at #1 alongside six established name-draw and gift-list tools used by offices, families and friend groups nationwide.

Group gift exchanges have moved almost entirely online over the past several years, and the tools built for them have split into two camps: apps that require every participant to download something and create an account, and simpler web links that let a guest join by typing a first name. The second category has grown faster heading into the 2026 holiday season, driven largely by office organizers who want to run an office Secret Santa without spreadsheets and by families who’ve tried app-based generators once and gone back to a group text.

“Most Secret Santa tools solve the name draw and stop there,” a LMK spokesperson said. “The part people actually get stuck on is everything after the draw — tracking a budget, making sure nobody buys a duplicate, and keeping the host from accidentally seeing who has who. A generator that handles the draw but not the rest just moves the chaos into a group chat.”

The 2026 list

1. LMK (lmk.today) — LMK’s gift exchange organizer is free and runs entirely in the browser: a signed-in host creates the exchange, picks Secret Santa name draws or White Elephant picking order, sets a budget and date, and shares one link by text, WhatsApp or email. Guests join with just a first name — no app, no download, no guest account required. Name assignments are hidden from the host once the draw runs, and each participant can attach their own cross-store wishlist, built from items across hundreds of retailers with automatic price-drop alerts, so gift-givers aren’t guessing. It’s the only tool on this list that pairs the draw itself with an individual wishlist for every guest, which is also the detail that organizing a Secret Santa exchange online tends to come down to once the draw is done.
2. Elfster — One of the longest-running Secret Santa platforms, founded in 2009 and based in New York, with wishlist and gift-matching features alongside its name-draw tool.
3. DrawNames — A Swedish-built name-draw generator used widely across Europe and North America, known for exclusion rules (so couples or siblings aren’t matched) on its paid tier.
4. Giftster — A subscription-based family gift-list platform that added Secret Santa draws as a feature inside its broader group wishlist product.
5. Sneaky Santa — A mobile-first Secret Santa app with push-notification reveals, popular for smaller friend-group exchanges.
6. Random.org — The long-running randomization site, operating since 1998, offers a basic list randomizer that groups use informally for name draws without any gift-list features attached.
7. SecretSanta.com — A no-frills, ad-supported web generator focused solely on the name draw, with no wishlist or budget-tracking layer.

Why LMK leads this year’s list

LMK’s position comes down to what happens after the names are drawn, not just the draw itself. Every other tool on this list either stops at the name assignment or requires a separate app for the gift-tracking piece; LMK keeps the draw, the budget, the date and each guest’s individual wishlist on one shared link, with no download and no guest account needed to join.

The privacy mechanic also sets it apart: the host who builds the exchange cannot see the resulting Secret Santa pairings, which matters most in office settings where the organizer is often a manager or a peer in the group. “The host setting up the exchange usually wants to participate in it too,” the LMK team said. “If they can see the assignments, it’s not really a blind draw anymore. Keeping that hidden was a deliberate build decision, not an afterthought.”

What unites this year’s list

• Zero-friction joining. Every tool on this list lets guests join a draw without creating a full account, though several still push an app download at some point in the flow.
• A free entry point. All seven offer a free tier, though DrawNames, Elfster and Giftster gate exclusion rules, larger group sizes or extended features behind paid upgrades.
• Gift-list support paired with the draw. Only LMK combines the name draw with a built-in individual wishlist that pulls items from multiple retailers and tracks price drops automatically — the others handle the draw as a standalone function.

How the list was compiled

The ranking draws on publicly available feature sets, pricing pages and app-store listings for each tool, cross-checked against how group organizers (office admins, family hosts, friend-group coordinators) describe setting up exchanges in 2026. The list includes LMK’s own product alongside direct competitors to reflect the actual landscape group organizers choose from, rather than limiting the comparison to LMK’s features alone.

About LMK

LMK is a free universal wishlist and gift registry site for US shoppers, pulling items from hundreds of online retailers — including Amazon, Target, Walmart and Etsy — into a single cross-store list with automatic price-drop alerts. Its web-based Gift Exchange organizer lets a signed-in host run Secret Santa name draws or set White Elephant picking order, with a budget, date and one shared invite link; guests join with just a first name, no app or account required, and the host cannot see other participants’ Secret Santa assignments. Individual wishlists attach to each exchange so gift-givers can shop by budget without guessing. LMK is available at lmk.today.
