RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – August 12, 2026 – Route 66 only turns 100 once, and the historic Cucamonga Service Station is giving Route 66 enthusiasts, families, car clubs and businesses an opportunity to make their connection to the Mother Road permanent.
As part of the Route 66 Centennial celebration, the Cucamonga Service Station is offering personalized Route 66 Centennial Commemorative Bricks that will become a permanent part of the historic Route 66 landmark in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
The program is about more than purchasing a brick. It offers supporters an opportunity to create their own permanent place along America’s most famous highway.
Personalized bricks can honor a loved one, memorialize someone special, recognize a family, celebrate a milestone, commemorate a business or car club, or simply record an individual’s connection to Route 66.
Once installed at the Cucamonga Service Station, the bricks will become part of a landmark visited by Route 66 travelers, classic car enthusiasts, history lovers and visitors from around the world.
“People have very personal connections to Route 66,” said a representative of the Cucamonga Service Station. “For some it’s a road they traveled with their parents or grandparents. For others it’s classic cars, family vacations or simply an appreciation for American history. A Centennial Brick gives people an opportunity to make that connection a permanent part of Route 66.”
A Once-in-a-Century Opportunity
The commemorative bricks are being offered specifically in recognition of the 100th anniversary of Route 66 and will only be available during the Centennial year.
Orders for Route 66 Centennial Bricks must be placed by December 31, 2026.
After the Centennial year concludes, this special commemorative version will no longer be offered.
Proceeds from the brick program support the preservation and continued operation of the Cucamonga Service Station, which is operated by volunteers and preserved for future generations of Route 66 travelers.
Located along historic Route 66 in Rancho Cucamonga, the restored Station provides visitors with a direct connection to the era when service stations, roadside businesses and the automobile transformed travel across America.
As Route 66 celebrates its first century, the Centennial Brick program provides an opportunity for today’s travelers and supporters to leave something behind for those who will follow.
A hundred years from now, Route 66 will still have a story to tell. The Cucamonga Service Station is inviting supporters to make their brick part of that story.
