BOSTON, MA – August 12, 2026 – Derrick “Dee Nyce” Jones has built a career around creating experiences, developing relationships and bringing people together through entertainment. With more than two decades in the industry, the Boston native has established himself as an entrepreneur and entertainment executive with a vision that continues to expand.
His journey began in music as a vocalist and keyboard player, giving him firsthand experience with the creative side of the business. That foundation eventually led him to entrepreneurship and, in 2005, the creation of Franchize Entertainment Group.
Through Franchize Entertainment Group, Jones has produced and promoted a wide range of entertainment experiences, including nightlife events, concerts, celebrations and destination experiences. His work reflects a strong understanding of both the business and creative sides of entertainment.
BRINGING BEANTOWN TO ATLANTA
One of his newest projects is “From Beantown to Atlanta — 1st Annual Boston Reunion in Atlanta,” scheduled for September 25–27, 2026.
The three-day experience is designed to bring Boston natives, friends, families and entertainment enthusiasts together in Atlanta for a celebration of Boston culture, music, relationships and community.
The event represents an important milestone for Jones as he continues expanding his reach beyond his hometown and creating opportunities in new markets.
FROM EVENTS TO TELEVISION
Jones is also entering a new area of the entertainment business as an Executive Producer of an upcoming reality television series.
The project is being developed with major industry professionals and established players in entertainment. While details are currently being kept confidential, the series is expected to offer audiences an inside look at the people, personalities and business surrounding the entertainment world.
For Jones, executive producing marks a natural progression from producing live experiences to developing original entertainment content for television.
ROOTED IN COMMUNITY
While business has remained an important part of his journey, Jones has also maintained a strong connection to the Boston community.
His involvement has included working with students in Boston Public Schools, supporting community initiatives and participating in charitable and neighborhood efforts throughout Greater Boston.
