Education Advancement Consulting LLC, better known as Simply EAC, reduces the access gap for Underrepresented Minorities, Women, and First Generation individuals pursuing their MBA. Their tailored approach saves time, helping individuals find the best fit program by incorporating mentorship and emotional support to make the application process less stressful.

November 04, 2021 – A 2020 Harvard Business School report revealed that only 15% of underrepresented minorities (URM) were enrolled in their Full-Time MBA Program. Research shows that only 21% of C-suite leaders are women, only 4% are women of color, and only 1% are Black women. (Lean In, 2020) “The grim reality is that URMs, women, and first-generation individuals often face challenges with equitable opportunities and access to professional advancement. MBA Admissions Expert Nicole Gwanzura has pledged to be a strategic resource by providing equitable tools and shedding light to make the process understandable and attainable through workshops, speaking engagements, and small group coaching.

“When managers support employee well-being, and companies prioritize DEI, employees are happier, less burned out, and less likely to consider leaving their jobs.”(McKinsey Women in the Workplace, 2021) EAC partners with companies that sponsor education for their employees, organizations that promote educational advancement, and schools interested in elevating their students early in their careers. A partnership with EAC reduces the burden on the future MBA applicant. It allows companies, organizations, and schools to utilize their platforms to increase visibility and access. EAC’s vision is to ensure that companies, organizations, and schools are authentically inclusive and provide equitable professional advancement opportunities.

“The inspiration behind EAC stems from the community support I received when my family migrated to the United States 17 years ago. I am grateful to every individual in the community who helped me successfully navigate from middle school to an MBA program in a foreign country. That support motivated me to create a safe space within reach for MBA applicants to find their fit in an accessible and understandable way. It is not about reinventing the wheel; it’s about making the best use of the tools in a strategic way. We are looking forward to seeing increased and authentic diversity, equity, and inclusion in companies and business schools”, stated Nicole.

With an MBA and a BBA in Marketing from Radford University, Nicole has served as the Assistant Director of Masters Admissions at the Carnegie Mellon, Tepper School of Business. Over the last decade, she has evaluated hundreds of MBA applications, interviewed numerous MBA candidates from all over the globe, and managed and mentored 700+ MBA women-identifying applicants at Forté. Today, she is well respected in the MBA admissions community.
